We invented, patented, and trademarked this product in the early 70's and it has seen widespread use since. Meeting MSHA and OSHA requirements for hose restraint, Whipcheks^® are used in mining, as well as many industrial air hose applications. These strong steel cables prevent hose whip in case of accidental separation of coupling or clamp device.  The Whipchek^® reaches across the hose fittings to provide standby safety for hose.  Spring-loaded loops in the cable ends open easily to slip over the couplings for a firm grip on the hose.  This product has been thoroughly tested with more than 30 years of proven service.
